Bronze sculpture “chess set”, with eight horses. On the chess set the kings and queens are on horseback. Chess developed from chattering in the 5th century AD by the Hindus. The rules of play are drawn up by the “Federation Internationale des Echecs” (FIDE), founded in 1922. They are the governing world organization for chess responsible for the World Chess Championship competitions since 1946.
